Mercy killing i one of the mot controverial iue in the world of medicine. A the picture given above depict, a late-tage cancer patient i terminally-ill, aking the doctor for mercy killing. But the doctor look deeply embarraed, feeling helple becaue they are at a lo what to do about it.

The picture really et me thinking. It implie that people differ in their attitude toward the mercy killing. Some people think that phyician-aited uicide can relieve dying patient of unbearable pain

and uffering. They maintain that a long a a doctor precribe a drug for a legitimate medical purpoe, he ha done nothing illegal even if the patient ue the drug to haten death. Other are h2ly oppoed to phyician-aited uicide. They contend that a doctor ha no right to give a patient ufficient medication to control hi pain if that may haten death. They conclude that it i illegal for doctor to help the dying end their live.

A far a I’m concerned, doctor have a duty to help dying patient to alleviate their pain and uffering. I alo agree that doctor deerve to be punihed if they prolong the needle uffering of their

terminally-ill patient. In hort, I am in favor of mercy killing. (207 word)
