Many young people go to univeritie without a clear idea of what they are going to do. If one conider the variou coure offered, it i not hard to ee how difficult it i for a tudent to elect the coure mot uited to him. If a tudent goe to a univerity to acquire a broader perpective of life, he will undoubtedly benefit. School often have too retrictive an atmophere. Mot tudent would, I believe, profit by the exploration of different academic tudle, epecially the "all rounder'with no particular interet.They hould have a longer time to decide in what ubject they

want to take their degree, o that in later life, they do not look back and regret.

There i, of coure, another ide to the quetion of how to make the bet ue of one' time at univerity. Some tudent,who are good at a particular branch of learning, may pend three or four year becoming a pecialit, appearing with a firt-cla Honor Degree but very little knowledge of what the ret of the world i all about. Therefore there will have to be much more detailed information in all field. On the one hand, a band of pecialit ignorant of anything outide their own ubject, and on the other hand, an ever-increaing number of graduate qualified in ubject for which there i little or no demand in the working world.
